Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about the App:
Why does the application needs acces to the Media Folder on my phone during the first logging in?
- The Rover-tracking application does not need access to your photos and videos, nor does it manage them. During use, the application downloads and stores a lot of data on the phone, including maps, zone and destination data. During running, it records the position data, stores it on the phone and transmits it every 5 seconds with Internet access. The most efficient way to store this data temporarily is via the Media folder, and then synchronize it into the Rover-tracking system from there. In order for the application to manage data on the phone, it is necessary to grant access to the Media folder.
Why does the application asks for access to internet data at the first login?
- The application transmits the collected data and the content necessary for operation (maps, targets, zones, etc.) via internet.
How and where can I create a user account and why is this necessary?
- The essential function of the Rover-tracking application is to record, store and display positions and targets. This way the informed user can contact the sender of the signal as soon as possible. The organizers will also receive the emergency message during competitions.

- In a competition environment, the application is the primary information sharing and communication channel between the participants and the organizers, it collects the data necessary for the completion of the competition tasks, and with the help of the competition functions developed for the organizers, we record the points of the manually controlled tasks.
- The automatic scoring system continuously operating in the background performs the evaluation of the tasks, which is checked by the official Scorer of the competition.
Is there a difference in competition between the Free and Pro licences?
- The functions available using the Pro license are also available in a competition environment, but competition is also possible using the Free license.Users using Free mode are not at a disadvantage compared to users with Pro licenses during Competitions.
